The concept of your thoughts becoming things probably isn't new to you. By now, almost every wellness guru and health influencer talk about the importance of positive thinking and having the right mindset. But this goes beyond just positive thinking. It's changing your thoughts to the point that you are changing your core limiting beliefs, which changes your entire vibrational frequency. When you change your inner-state (your frequency), your outer world starts to match your new energy.
If you truly knew the value of your vibration and just how powerful a creator you are, you would want to spend more time concentrating on shifting your thoughts and beliefs that aren't creating your ideal life, and you can start NOW.
So how do you actively work on changing deep-rooted beliefs and negative thought patterns?
Below are some helpful tips for shifting the thought patterns and limiting beliefs you have decided are no longer serving you.
"To be transformed, the whole basis of your thoughts must change. But your thoughts cannot change unless you have new ideas, for you think from your ideas." – Neville Goddard
1. REPETITION we create new habits through repetition. Learning and understanding the law of attraction is one thing, but remembering it and practicing it every waking moment is another. Something that always helped me was to listen to my favorite talks (while getting ready in the morning or driving in the car) and to read books on the subject. This way, you have a constant reminder that you are always creating through your thoughts. If you need some reading suggestions, check out my 'Books for Wellness' page.
2. TRAVEL travel inspires new ideas and new ways of being. It changes your routine and spices things up. It expands your mind. You will come back refreshed and inspired. I also really enjoy traveling, so I believe it automatically elevates me to a higher frequency of joy where I attract even more joyful experiences. If traveling isn't your thing, just follow your joy!
3. SHAKE THINGS UP Travel has also been more difficult these days, so if you can't get away or don't have time to plan a fun road trip, how about just changing up your same 'ol routine? Take up a new sport or hobby that you've always wanted to try. Explore a new neighborhood or check out a new lunch place. Follow your impulses and be a little more spontaneous. You will start rewiring your brain, discovering new things you enjoy, and you might even learn something about yourself in the process. For example, I always had a strong desire to play tennis. One day, during the earlier stages of my personal transformation process, I finally decided to follow my impulse and find an instructor to play with on the weekends. Little did I know, my coach would start giving me feedback in tennis, which I realized I could apply to other areas of my life to help me break out of my comfort zone. For one, I learned not to be so afraid of the ball (or other things in life), and he would always say the phrase "It's Time to Shine" (I had a long history of shrinking myself). Long story short, tennis inspired new ways of being and living for me, it mirrored back subtle behaviors I had, but it's also something I have so much fun playing.
4. BE MINDFUL Catch yourself in the moment when you make a statement that contradicts your new belief or reality you want to create. It doesn't matter if you aren't currently experiencing it - you are creating it! So, it helps to become very aware of what you are saying and feeling toward everything. Was the comment you just made in alignment with the life you want to create for yourself? Or is it just re-affirming your current reality? If you can catch it in the moment, in the early stages, you can pause and make a new statement that affirms your new belief. This gets easier over time! Abraham Hicks has a 17 second rule. Abraham says 17 seconds of pure thought is the ignition point of manifesting. If you hold a thought for 17 seconds, you set the manifestation into motion. The purpose behind this rule is to get you to think purely for 17 seconds, and to have that desire become stronger until it reaches 68 seconds. Go ahead and try it! Have fun with it and use your imagination - if you can think it, you can create it! Better said, if you can imagine it, it already exists - you just need to line up with it.
