Organic Produce:
1. Bananas - I buy bananas in bulk & freeze them for smoothies once they are ripe with brown spots
2. Japanese Potatoes - tip: look for the smaller size potatoes (they take less time to cook). Yams + Yukon Potatoes are also healthy & satisfying. I either bake them whole or slive them up and bake them as fries.
3. Spinach or Curly Kale - greens for smoothies
4. Romaine Lettuce - a favorite for fresh salads
5. Avocados - avocados are a staple. I love them for avocado toast, guacamole, tacos, or adding to a fresh salad
6. Broccoli - when in doubt, steaming vegetables is always an easy and nutritious dinner side
7. Whole Carrots - great as a snack, chopped in a salad, or even steamed
8. Garlic - it's good to always have garlic always on hand, especially for salad dressings
9. Apples & Seasonal Fruits - fruit is a go to snack for me during the day. I love apricots and strawberries in the summer and mandarins in the winter.
10. Lemons & Limes - lemons are an essential for lemon water, salad dressings, guacamole, and avocado toast so I was make sure to have plenty on hand
Note: this list does change from time to time depending on the season and what I feel like eating, but these are usually great staples with many end uses.
